King House is a prominent cultural institution as it houses the Connaught Rangers Museum, The Mary McAleese Collection, Boyle Civic Art Collection and the Maureen O’Sullivan Museum. The house plays host to musical, dramatic and cultural events like the popular Boyle Arts Festival.

The Dock Art Centre
The Dock which is located in Carrick on Shannon just 10 minutes from Boyle is Leitrim’s centre for the arts with Theatre and Music Performances, Exhibitions, Projects, Workshops and Classes.

Two miles North of Boyle, lies the statue of the Gaelic Chieftain by Maurice Harron. The statue commemorates the Battle of Curlew Pass in 1598 between Irish and English forces. It is visible from the N4 Dublin to Sligo road. The Gaelic Chieftain stands on the highest point of the Curlew Mountains, it is a great vantage point to enjoy views of Lough Key and the surrounding area.

Coleman Music Centre
The Coleman Music Centre celebrates the Traditional Music, Culture and Heritage as expressed in the South Sligo Style of music played by Michael Coleman and other musicians of his time. Located in Gurteen, Co.Sligo the centre is dedicated to ensuring that the tradition of Irish Music remains a living one, ‘an traidisiún beo’, and that it continues to be enjoyed by all ages and nationalities.

Douglas Hyde Interpretative Centre
